Point 6.4.6. of the Natural Resources Management Plan of the aforementioned Natural Site establishes the actions related to permitted and prohibited maritime navigation, which are of vital importance for the Skippers, since they are the only ones responsible for compliance with the regulation in order to avoid possible sanctions.

It will be free to do so:

- Sailing with boats from 200 m on the beaches and 50 m on the rest of the coast, from the coast line to the sea.

- Access from the sea to beaches, coves or cliffs with non-motorised boats, without prejudice to the provisions of the sectorial regulations in force.

- The anchoring and drifting of vessels within the free anchorage areas set out in paragraph 3, from sunrise to sunset.

- The navigation, the access from the sea to beaches, coves or cliffs, the access from the beaches to the sea, the anchoring and the permanence adrift of any type of boat linked to the administration in the development of its functions for the management of the Natural Park, as well as other boats in emergency situations.

They are forbidden:

- Sailing for sport or pleasure, navigation for fishing purposes and the presence of any type of motorboat, jet ski, floating or beach motorized craft, self-propelled recreational craft and towed craft, within 200 m of the coastline in beach areas and within 50 m in the rest of the coast.

- Access from the sea to beaches, cliffs and coves with motor boats.

- The anchoring and drifting of vessels outside the free anchorage areas set out in paragraph 3 and within these areas from sunset to sunrise.

There are defined free anchoring zones

Google Maps

The free anchorage zones for sport boats correspond to the 3 small red polygons that you can see on the map, the large polygon defines the special conservation zone.

Download the file to know the coordinates and introduce them in the Plotter or GPS: KMZ FILE (This file can be opened with Google Earth). If you are trying to open the file from third party applications, such as Facebook, Google+, etc, you may not be able to download it, if so, go directly to the website.

There is a great lack of information about the performance of different activities, so you can find opinions of all kinds in which prior permissions and authorizations are needed for free navigation and anchoring. There is no need for such an application if it is not an activity of Active Tourism, Fishing and/or Diving, which depending on the activity will require obtaining an authorization or making a previous communication. You can get more information HERE.

If you are sailing in the area, remember this information to anchor in the corresponding areas between sunrise and sunset to avoid problems with the Guardia Civil's Maritime Service, and go down to the chiringuitos or the beach in the dinghy without starting the engine within the marked area or within 200 metres of the sand.
